Year 6
Isle of Wight
Day 1
The children have been absolutely fabulous!
We have had a very smooth journey both coach and boat. When we arrived, it was straight into the activities. All groups have spent time playing games on the beach and searching for Isle of Wight Blue. Half have had a go at team work on Jacob's Ladder whilst the others have had their tummy flipped on the Giant Swing.
Bellies are now full for enery to fuel an evening of Giant Cluedo before we will be settling into bed.
A very busy and successful first day on the island.
Day 2
What a busy first full day we have had! After a great first night's sleep, the children completed a mixture of activities including intense Aeroball competitions and team work to scale Jacob's ladder. They were great at supporting eachother through the vertical challenge and the leap of faith. Plus had an awesome time boat cleaning (aka The Matrix).
They are now currently enjoying games, singing and marshmallows around the campfire to tire them out before bedtime.
Day 3
The weather hasn't been completely on our side but the intermittent showers and wind has not dampened the children's energy. Today has been filled with laser tag, climbing, archery tag and zip wire flying. Fears have been conquered, voices tested (singing on the zip wire to go faster) and team work tatics developed.
After some imaculate room inspections (we have evidence they can keep rooms tidy to the highest of standards), the children are completing an evening activity to protect their balloon babies from a drop.
Day 4
What can we say? This lot are utterly bonkers! Eventhough they are shattered from all the past few days, they have still been throwing everything into all their activities: loud singing, dancing, and liteally throwing thenselves off things - with harnesses on!
Despite the intermittent rain, the children have abseiled, fenced, trapeized, released arrows and swung. They are now using up the last bouts of energy with some evening activities and dancing.
