Year 6
Isle of Wight - Day 4
Today, we have seen a bit more of the wet weather, but luckily, it cleared up quicker than expected which left us to enjoy a variety of activities: trapeze, sensory trail, archery, climbing, survival skills and giant swing.
The children are now off enjoying their evening activities including laser tag and matrix. We can’t quite believe it is our last night. The children are suitably exhausted from all the activities, so they will enjoy snuggling down for their last night.
Isle of Wight - Day 3
Wonderfully, the weather improved for us today, and thank goodness because today we kayaked! Everyone did it together and was fantastic and played all the games.
In the morning, we all did different activities including orienteering (which of course Park Mead is great at), vertical climb, problem solving and abseiling.
The children are now enjoying a bit of free time before the evening activity with the challenge of Balloon Splash (trying to protect a water balloon.) They are having a wonderful time and can’t believe we are already half way through our trip.
Isle of Wight - Day 2
We may have had a fair few showers today but that hasn’t stopped the fun! After a great first night, there has been lots of high ropes activities including Jacob’s Ladder for some groups, Vertical Challenge and abseiling. Some have done surviour training whilst others did the sensory trail. We have now completed our evening activities which included laser tag. They are now snuggling down for another peaceful night of sleep (fingers crossed) before another day of activities.
Isle of Wight - Day 1
What an action packed day! After catching our ferry to the island and arriving at the center, the children went straight to activities. Everyone had a lovely beach walk looking for the famous and ‘valuable’ Isle of Wight Blue stones.
Everyone got their feet off the ground with either trapeze, Jacob’s ladder or the zip line.
The day was completed with campfire, marshmallows and singing led by Mr Harding, who now works at PGL but worked with the children when they were in Year 1.
